In 2019, Stuttgart Airport wanted to further expand its reputation, after the success of our previous campaigns, as being the gateway to popular attractions in SouthWest Germany with an integrated marketing campaign built around the region’s Cannstatter Wasen festival.

Alongside other key campaign elements, we developed sponsored Instagram story ad competition to both drive reach and capture data. Branded content was created which carefully combined the client’s corporate identity with a youthful and fun sequence of designs to appeal to the campaign target 18-34 demographic.

The overall campaign reached in excess of 1.2 million people, with over half of this number having been reached directly via the sponsored Instagram story ad element alone. In addition, GDPR compliant data was also collated for over 500 qualified 'opt-in' potential customers for the purpose of future marketing opportunities.

Instagram continues to be a major marketing channel for businesses and with 31.1 million active users in the UK, and 54% of those using it several times a day, it’s unsurprising that many take an interest in brands after seeing them on the platform.

Quick to match or mimic social trends as they pop-up elsewhere, Instagram’s users are kept engaged across all corners of its wide demographic. Stories, the platform’s first evolution from its initial grid format, came in the wake of Snapchat, and today, as other channels struggle to get users to engage with sponsored content, Instagram boasts that around 80% of their users are looking for inspiration from creative brand content. That’s where we come in.

In the latter half of 2022, Black Forest Tourism and their partners wanted to promote their region with a longer-term campaign.

We developed a sponsored Instagram story ad series around the trend towards a healthier lifestyle and highlighted the positive health possibilities of travel to their region. The campaign also featured digital and print media elements and incorporated a strategic partnership with a travel agent to directly generate bookings.

The campaign, which rolled out across two phases - summer and winter, reached over 8 million of the target demographic, with more than a quarter of that number being realised by the sponsored Instagram story ad series. In excess of 6,000 link clicks were achieved, this time with over half originating from the sponsored Instagram story ad series. Overall the campaign successfully increased booking enquiries by 15%.

In 2018, we delivered a successful integrated campaign for fly-baden which enabled the family demographic of UK travellers to sample a taste of the Baden region as a varied summer holiday destination.

The campaign centred around an experiential element and used sponsored Instagram stories to both publicise the event in advance and amplify reach whilst also encouraging users to follow the fly-baden social channels to help raise overall brand awareness. The campaign was also supported by both OOH and media elements.

Overall the campaign reached in excess of 750,000, with over 500,000 being via the sponsored Instagram story amplification.
